The 5 Best Ageless Beauty Tips

I’m fortunate to have many inspiring women in my life, but I’ve always had a special connection with my grandma Rosalie (aka Mema). As a child, I remember being in awe of her style and unapologetic glamor—IRL and in pictures taken way before my time—from her perfectly blown-out hair to her red lips and long lashes. People always tell her she looked like Elizabeth Taylor, and they aren’t wrong. Mema is still  the epitome of class and what I aspire to be, and not just because of how damn good she looks at 86 (that’s only part of it!), but because she’s shown me what it means to work hard; that it’s never too late to start over; and that dressing up and putting on a little makeup, just because, never hurts.

Mema immersed herself in the fashion world and started working in the New York Garment District when she was only 17. Being around so much color and beauty made her love for style—from the clothes and the makeup to the hair—really take off. She was able to express herself through these things and found that the more she dressed up, the more confident she felt, which helped her

The 10 Best Pairs of High-Waisted Underwear on the Internet

“The newest trend in underwear is definitely the high-cut French brief.” Boom. You heard it here first, courtesy of Journelle Head of Product Development Sandra Rose, aka the woman in charge of knowing what’s new and next in the underwear space for one of the U.S.’s most-loved lingerie retailers. There are a couple of reasons to get on board with the trend, but my primary motive? The underwear style makes your legs look way longer.

“With the band sitting at your natural waist, it gives you legs for days!” says Rose. Fleur du Mal founder Jennifer Zuccarini agrees: “High-cut styles elongate the line of your leg and emphasize your waistline because they sit higher, on a smaller part of your waist, than, say, a hip-hugger style.” Another, more practical plus of the high-cut underwear trend? “With a higher rise, they are less likely to bunch when you’re wearing high waisted pants and skirts,” says Rose.

As for where the re-emergence of the high-cut French brief trend came from, Zuccarini attributes it to Instagram It models like Kendall Jenner, Bella and Gigi Hadid, and Emily Ratajkowski as well as ’90s supermodels. Just like with any trend, “it takes time and

Bella Hadid Wore the 2021 See-Through Trend

As usual, Bella Hadid is way ahead of us when it comes to trends. She was photographed in New York City this week wearing your average sports bra and jeans, but in true Hadid fashion, she added a more adventurous element as well: a long-sleeve sheer overlay. (As well as piles of jewelry.)

In case you missed it, we dubbed sheer overlays one of the standout trends at both Paris and Milan Fashion Week this month. In Paris, the trend was on the runway at Dior, Acne, and Miu Miu, while Fendi, Sportmax, and No. 21 backed the look in Milan. Scroll down to see how Bella Hadid wore a sheer dress over jeans and shop the trend.
